Philanthropy Executive, Fundraising, Dublin

Location: Dublin

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The purpose of this role it to support the Philanthropy Team in achieving its annual fundraising target. This role works closely with other members of the team to acquire new donors and stewards successful relationships across multiple fundraising areas such as Trusts & Foundations, Major Giving, Legacy Giving and more.

What you will do:

  • Conduct donor research to create an informed view of current and potential donors.

  • Contact prospective donors to schedule meetings with members of the Philanthropy Team.

  • Carefully administer relationships with your assigned donors to ensure a high level of donor experience and supporter care.

  • Help prepare and draft funding proposals, impact reports, meeting briefings, meeting scripts, and personalised donor communications.

  • Collaborate in the organising and implementation of in-person donor events, such as Focus Irelands Women’s Philanthropy Circle events.

  • Ensure information systems and databases are maintained and kept up to date.

  • Drive informed decision-making through effective database analysis and reporting.

  • Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with your manager.

  • Ensure confidentiality on all matters and information obtained during the course of employment.

  • Present and act in a professional manner at all times.

  • Provide administrative support to the team.

  • Relevant third-level qualification or alternative work experience with transferable skills.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Energetic person with willingness to work to targets.

  • High degree of initiative, flexibility, and creativity.

  • Highly organised with ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and multitask.

  • Excellent relationship management skills with strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Proven ability to work well in a team and manage both internal & external stakeholders.

  • Proficient in MS Office (CRM-Dynamics, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).

  • Reasonable flexibility for some travel and out of hours activities - work during weekends, evenings, and unsociable hours may on occasion be required.
