Case Manager, Visiting Tenancy Sustainment & Settlement Services, Dublin

The Settlement service (SLI) provides visiting support to households in order to achieve a sustainable exit out of homelessness. The SLI service works with customers to assist them settling into their new homes and the wider community. It also aims to assist the customer, through the model of visiting support, to develop the skills and confidence to manage their homes and to manage issues that may impact their tenancy.


Visiting Tenancy Sustainment (VTSS) is a project designed in partnership with Dublin City Council to support households in sustaining their tenancies. It aims to assist the customer, through the model of visiting support, to develop the skills and confidence to manage their homes and to manage the issues that are impacting their tenancy.


The Visiting Tenancy Sustainment (VTSS) and Settlement Service (SLI)  is a Partnership between Dublin City Council and Focus Ireland.


What you will do:

  • Work within Focus Ireland’s overall objectives and comply with the Service Level Agreement with Dublin City Council.

  • Ensure adherence to Dublin City Council’s Generic Housing and Health & Safety Policies.

  • Manage and maintain the agreed caseload effectively.

  • Engage customers in line with Dublin City Council Tenancy Agreements, including rent collection, maintenance, and estate management responsibilities.

  • Contribute to needs assessments and support plans using the PASS system, and keep accurate casework records.

  • Provide one-to-one visiting support to help customers make informed decisions and comply with tenancy responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with the Manager/Team Leader to design and implement support packages that promote household welfare.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team, maintaining links with Gardaí, Probation, HSE, medical services, community services, and Local Authorities.

  • Ensure effective communication, referrals, case reviews, discharge planning, and case conferencing with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Attend meetings, supervision sessions, and training as required; implement all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Child Protection, and Working Alone policies, and remain vigilant to workplace risks.

What you will need: 

  • BA in Social Care or equivalent qualification.

  • 2 years experience of working with families and individuals experiencing homelessness.

  • Experience of lone working in a social care setting.

  • Experience of working and liaising with multiple agencies.

  • Computer literacy.

  • Report writing skills.

  • Full clean driver’s license (Desirable)
